The young and expressive brand Love Mayka had great success with its one-week interactive pop-up store that opened earlier this month. Maya Finkelstein Amrami created a platform of communication and creativity for her collection, in the aptly named presentation ‘The Gallery’ on Camden High Street. Collaborating with statement jewellery designer Nina Van Houten the brand created a collection with beautiful prints and an image of colour and expression.

Using ballet and dance-orientated concepts as her muse, she created vibrant statement pieces that were brought together by ‘art and fashion’. The ballerinas of the Royal Ballet started the week’s events by modelling the Autumn/ Winter 2013 collection, creating elegance contrasted with the expressive prints and bold styling. Her obvious background of print work and love for costume was clearly expressed in the creative activities throughout the week.

Viewers of the presentation were given opportunities to be apart of Love Mayka’s project, demonstrating visuals collaborating with art, interactive activities related to the collection involving image and social media – in result making this a unique and exciting representation of Love Mayka’s creative mind and intriguing us for what is to come.
