Meagan Morrison is a New York-based, Canadian-born fashion illustrator. She received her AAS Degree in Fashion Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, following her Bachelor of Commerce Degree fromMcGill University in Montreal, Canada. She has illustrated from the runways ofOscar de la Renta, Anna Sui, Tibi, as well as from on-site events with Urban Outfitters, Lord & Taylor and exhibited with W Hotel in Times Square. Her style is defined by a vivid use of colour, gestural paint handling and is often inspired by her travels and musings abroad. For DASH Magazine, she illustratedCusto Barcelona’s AW13 collection at Nolcha Fashion Week which bore resemblance to the fantasy movie ‘Where the Wild Things Are’. The garments were a mixture of wool, fur and leather with a colour scheme mainly based on light and dark browns and blues with patterns cutting the colour block. The collection overall gave the impression that the designer tried to capture a glimpse of a wild scenery in his AW collection.
