Shelsey Birch
Graphic designer and illustrator Shelsey Birch is an Australia-based multi talent. The characters in her latest fashion illustration series are strong and fearless, yet feminine, drawn with a keen eye for detail. Birch uses geometrics that add new dimensions to her work while her use of colour and texture creates a mood in her drawings. The playfulness and / or innocence of child-like girls are contrasted with a dark, surreal detail such as a smoking gun or a robot hand.
Besides fashion illustration, Shelsey has also written and provided illustrations for a children’s book called ‘Sho Sho the Sand Dragon’. She also does graphic design and typography for various companies in Australia and worldwide.
