We met talented fashion illustrator Clym Evernden during London Fashion Week, where he was sketching during a runway show. Now we just got sent through these fantastic, simple live illustrations, of which he sais: ‘I was invited to illustrate both, the backstage preparations and presentation itself, of the Autumn / Winter 2013 Nicole Farhi womenswear collection. Joanna Sykes is the new Creative Director for the brand, and she presented a deft and sophisticated collection which mixed masculine shapes and tailoring references with a carefully selected palette of neutral tones and styled the models with a grungy nonchalance. I always enjoy illustrating live at presentations rather than catwalk shows as I have more time to observe the models and get to grips with what the mood and energy of the collection is. For example, at this latest Nicole Farhi presentation it was the juxtaposition of untucked hem lengths and contrasting masculine and feminine proportions that made the collection interesting to illustrate.’ – Clym Evernden

Nicole Farhi’s Autumn/Winter 2013 presentation this season welcomed us with a muted colour palette going from silvery greys and beige tones to light blues and dark browns. Timeless design, casual elegance, extreme wearability, precision, clean shapes, and high detailed tailoring perfectly mixed with geometric knitwear and blurry stripes were the main focus of the collection.
