Hien Le showed his 60’s and 70’s tennis gear inspired collection at Berlin Fashion Week.

Hien Le’s collections are reliable. They’re always good taste: if you dress in one of Le’s designs you can be sure to look contemporary, not like a slob and you won’t be over the top.

They’re fit is impeccable. Le is one of the few emerging designers showing in this city who actually know how to cut a pattern properly. He did an apprenticeship in tailoring before he went to fashion school – and it shows (aspiring designers: take note).

His designs are always crisp. This time especially so in his opening look: white meets green. There’s hardly a fresher combination. Hien Le’s collection for Spring / Summer 2016 is inspired by tennis gear of the 60’s and 70’s. Not the functional kind as we know it today, but the chic sort. He captured the mood brilliantly and transports it into 2016. Focused and precise.

Game, set, match: Le.
