Daniela Barros’ S/S16 collection captured everything that this season is about; deconstructed, effortless and tailored in a feminine way. The colour-palette was minimal, made up of denims, black, white, tan and some muted tones in between. This complemented the aesthetic perfectly as your eyes were drawn to the details such as the fraying and fringing. Luxury this season, as many designers translated it through their garments, is about what it takes to make a piece rather than how it looks on. Yes, it may fall off the shoulder and gently sweep the floor, but that’s because it’s in fact a coat that has been transformed into a loose top.
