For her Spring/Summer 2016 collection, Dutch designer Ilja Visser whom we know from Amsterdam fashion Week continues the same convergence of ready-to-wear and couture that has allowed her to become one of the most recent additions to the official haute couture calendar. With comfortable yet refined silhouettes appearing both sporty and dressy, this season remains classic ILJA with graphic and sculptural looks and subtle shapes and proportions. While her clothes indisputably appear far more ready-to-wear than couture, there’s no doubt to her ability to create beautifully nonchalant garments, from textured coats to eveningwear with pleats and gathers.
