Veronique Branquinho continued this season’s love for velvet as well-placed details in a collection mounted up to an almost Elizabethan form of Gothic romance. Set with powdered complexions, the models were adorned with an Autumn/Winter 2016 collection filled with matte textures, glistening fabrics and an immeasurable amount of black materials. Midi dresses and skirts were a no-brainer this season, but more than those we loved how Branquinho paired modern outerwear – such as an oversized blazer, a biker jacket and a boyfriend jacket – with a stunning array of delicates including sheer blouses and chiffon dresses.
