“Egocentric Space Lines,” Aleksandra Lalic’s latest collection, was inspired by the theatrical works of Oskar Schlemmer during the 1920s. The silhouettes she sent down the catwalk during Belgrade Fashion Week earlier this month, they were abstract shapes and structural tailoring. Lalic’s strength have long been showcased in her unique creative expression in the choice of fabrics, but this season offered a decadent array of fine wools, saturated cotton, linen and silk. The main takeaway this time around, there’s no doubt about it, would her soft volumes and clean lines; they felt organic, architectural and could easily be worn straight off the catwalk. Aleksandra Lalic is the name to know in the Serbian fashion scene – and prepare to fall in love with her new line just as we have.
