You might already be familiar with the Belgrade-based designer Ana Ljubinkovic, whom we made one of our Labels of the Day back in 2013. Last September, she showed her Spring/Summer 2017 collection during Fashion Scout in London, but by the time she presented her new looks at Belgrade Fashion Week we were already in need for her kitschy, bold aesthetics. There’s really not much Ana won’t do; she continuously breaks the rules with her quirky embroideries, textures, metallics and over-sweeping use of pastel hues, and that’s precisely why she’s a personal favourite. This season’s look soared the heavens, like a PanAm flight crew, complete with cropped trousers, kitsch minis and uniform-inspired silhouettes – a top-notch collection for a designer well worth a close watch.
