J.W. Anderson reinvented the dress for Spring/Summer 2017 with superposition of volumes, pleats and cut-outs. We could see fluid dresses underlining the silhouette but also heavy strapped jackets resulting in a sophisticated contrast. It was difficult to follow Anderson’s line of thought from the beginning to the end though, as if he was experimenting something new in each outfit. However, you could spot a sign of resemblance in each look, may it be the single earrings or the clothes’ textures. Asymmetric skirts gave an interesting twist to the whole collection, sometimes showing some legs or in other cases covering them while keeping an implied sexiness. J.W. Anderson’s edgy collection is undoubtedly aimed at the modern woman empowered by her bold attitude.
