Clean and pure – that’s the best way to describe Dietrich Emter’s Spring / Summer 2014 collection showcased at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Berlin.

The inspiration behind it came from the parachute – its construction, functionality, seams and strings. Silk and cotton came together to form shift dresses, blouses and shorts with highlights including shimmery 7/8 trousers and folded leather skirts.

Peachy rose, bluey grey, dark blue, white, orange, neon yellow, gold – the simple cuts were spread across a stunning range of colour. Details like geometric patches gave Emter’s garments a special twist making it wearable but far from usual.
