Zeynep Tosun SS14

Emerging Turkish designer Zeynep Tosun drew inspiration from the 1920s for her Spring / Summer 2014 collection titled ‘Hidden’. Tosun graduated from the Istituto Marangoni in Milan and, after working for renowned design houses, established her own brand in 2008.

‘Hidden’ explores and denotes concealed hidden sexuality and merges androgynous shapes with dominant prints, transparent details and allusive femininity. Dropped waistlines and fluid silhouettes to the barely-there pastel colours – the palette went from clean whites through stone to washed out navy’s. An unexpected use of details updated classic statement pieces.
