Born in Yorkshire, Julia D’Albert studied at London College of Fashion and Central Saint Martins before launching her label, D’Albert. Inspired by the Modernist architecture of the 1950s, she creates garments with pure lines and a sportswear vibe. The designer’s distinct talent is mixing materials in unexpected ways, such as felt appliqués on a mesh T-shirt. The brand’s palette is black and white with an accent colour; hot pink for the first collection and silver lamé for the second.
