‘Toxic Monsoon’, a luminescent collection reminiscent of the city’s haze in the night rush. Mark Fast mixes cropped slouched knits with tailored pieces of an architectural stance for Autumn / Winter 2014 at London Fashion Week. A variety of technical processes constructed the ultra-modern knitwear pieces –including plaiting, Fair Isle knitting and felting. Geometric rippling colour palettes recreate the night’s promiscuous blur, occasionally detailed with colour catching sequins and heavy-knit layering. Exposed midriffs, waist cinching trousers and asymmetric lines formulated the faultless figure. A cunning collaboration with Underground added metallic edge and a youthful vibe.
