Maria Soromenho ‘Disordered Parallel Practices’ collection

Portuguese-born Maria Soromenho has lived in Lisbon, Paris and London but has now re-located to New York where she works on her two capsule collections and a scarf collection. Her designs are highly inspired by music and art, only using people from bands as models. Internships at the museum Les Arts Decoratifs, designers Craig Lawrence, Peter Pilotto, Richard Nicoll and Diane von Furstenburg have all fuelled her interest in the exploration of fashion, as she aims to experiment and determine new techniques in modifying textiles.
