Clinical psychology graduate Spela Jambrek changed the direction of her life and career when she decided to jump into the world of fashion. Tucking clothing design, styling and becoming a fashion editor under her belt at a young age, illustration slowly and strongly became her biggest passion. Her first illustration exhibition was held at Philips Fashion Week in her hometown of Ljubljana, Slovenia, along with her fashion designs. Her fashion illustrations encapsulate a subtle element of obscurity, mixed with humour and her signature minimal aesthetic.

Soft pencil shading and intricate detailing are typical characteristics of her illustrative style, which is apparent in the original artwork she has contributed for DASH Magazine’s current Autumn / Winter 2014 issue ‘Fused–’, on sale since September and available to purchase online here.
