Venezuelan-born Lisandro Olmos recently graduated from the BA Fashion Menswear course at Central Saint Martins. In light of the recent student protests in his home country against the government’s socioeconomic policies, Olmos proposes a new type of contemporary ‘Hero’ – hence the title of his collection – inspired by pop-cultural superheroes such as Batman or Superman. Stylishly re-appropriating ’80s power dressing with an intriguing mix of different materials and technical expertise, the collection is rounded out with corresponding accessories and jewellery.
For his collection, Lisandro recently received the Lowe Nova Award sponsored by Lowe and Partners.
