All Illustrations by Sophie Hunt
Majorly influenced by Aubrey Beardsley, London-based freelance illustrator, Sophie Hunt is a BA (Hons) illustration graduate from the University of the West of England. The illustrator aims to create a surreal and macabre aesthetic through her drawings and takes her inspiration from 18th century poetry, costume design and gothic literature. Hunt predominantly uses pencil, ink and gouache for her artworks and also makes paper triptychs as she pursues a contemporary take on religious artefacts. She has continued with her work from her final year of university, involving gothic literature and ancient Greek mythology. Sophie Hunt recently designed the Christmas card for DASH Magazine.
