Based in Portugal, Hugo Costa is an avant-garde fashion label. The Costa family has a background in shoe and accessory production in the town of São João da Madeira. As a child, the designer was always interested in style and quality craftsmanship and later attended the School of Applied Arts of Portugal and graduated with a degree in Fashion Design in 2008. The label began their journey with a focus on sandals and classic menswear, moving on to sneakers, backpacks and unisex pieces since then. Inspired by minimalism and street culture, Hugo Costa designs for the urban man, claiming that his aim is to dress his client from “head to toe.”
