The beautiful haze of island life combined with elements of boxing formed the starting point of JAMES LONG’S Spring / Summer 2015 collection. Navy mesh kaftans and boxing wraps worn undone in bold colours portrayed the idea of technical clothing from the city worn down at the beach. Triple-washed denim helped to create a look that is far from formal, with patches of vivid ribbon and a boxing waist. Track pants came similarly patched and the look was completed with a variety of colour-blocked socks.

Typography appeared throughout the garments with shorts and sweatshirts bonded and triple-embroidered with abstract handwritten ‘JAMES’, with a cute coloured neckline. Added touches included original music created for the show by It’s Tropical, and quilted nylon bags, from totes to rucksacks, were exclusively available at BROWNS on the day of the show.
