Vladimir Karaleev decided to focus on layering, transparency and asymmetry for S/S15 and continued to sharpen his signature look, influenced by architecture and constructivism. Squares and lines cut from opaque and sheer fabric were arranged in abstract patterns and appliquéd to the front of the tops, echoing the main layering theme. The layering of gossamer materials and heavier fabrics were key to the collection. The designer also played with length by making one sleeve longer than another, or the back of the garment longer than the front.

Sportswear served as the reference point for Karaleev’s mesh tank tops for men, and tight-fitting shorts for women worn beneath oversized gauzy tops. Sheer, opaque, matte and shiny fabrics such as nylon mesh, canvas, linen and silk were rendered to structured silhouettes that evoked a distinct tactile and sensory feeling. Shades of purple, lemon yellow, blue, pastels and black and white were the colours featured in the collection.

The accessories were gorgeous too; bi-colour shades with lenses in different colours and velvet slippers with plastic details gave the collection a cool and laid-back touch.
