Simon Peters‘s graduate collection titled ‘THE ATILLA SAGA’ took inspiration from lyrics of singer-songwriter Björk and her Icelandic homeland; this inspiration introduced an otherworldly feeling of naturalism vs. human emotion and how our behaviours can effect the environment in which we live. He explores the relationships between love and nature, and how modern technology can assist us in bringing awareness to the delicate condition of our atmosphere. Expressive brush strokes of natural inspired textures from crystalline formations are shown through printed graphics, which appear in silk jersey and silk satins in blue and grey tones. His silhouettes are distinctly modern and wearable with Swarovski crystal encrusted hoods and pockets that sparkle within the collection, whilst intricate detailing and couture techniques are combined with overlaid high-calibre transparent fabrics, presenting an edgy sophistication with oversized relaxed shapes in wools and silks that give the collection comfort with a luxe sportswear feel.
