Unconventional materials formed in classic cuts. Rebekka Ruétz named her collection ‘SPLENDOR SOLIS – the splendour of the sun’. She was inspired by the correspondent illustrated alchemical manuscript dealing with the production and effectiveness of the philosopher’s stone. Many thoughts and even more historical research lead to a unique collection.

One demonstrative motif of the collection is the hourglass silhouette – sculptural shoulders and hips accentuate a slim waist. Staged hems come in short-above-long and long-above-short combinations. Cocoon silhouettes contrast with hard forms. Knit, silk and fake leather are combined in an unconventional way. The colour palette ranges from white over nude, mustard, bordeaux, violet, blue to black. Highlights like glitter braids and chakra prints underline the profound origin of the collection’s theme. As always, the designer Rebekka Ruétz combines the visual and the non-visual, telling a story on a symbolic level.
