This season, Miuccia Prada blessed the runway with a modishly ideal Mountain Traveller’s collection. The show exhibited flamboyant camping items like backpacks with buckles being carried by models. The ensembles on the runway speckled with fantastic prints such as floral, dainty ones with pops of colour, specifically yellow, blue, red and pink. All the models wore velcro sandals with slight accents of colour and socks that the trousers were tucked into, which was reviving to see. Whether it was on the inner lining of the trousers, a drawstring vest, colour-blocked jackets, the safari-like hats or headbands – there were linings of colours. The factors pushing the traveller-image varied from parkas, reflectors, waterproof jackets and the constant drawstring characteristics. Turtlenecks worn inside a vest, shorts with drawstrings at the bottom, drawstring trousers, cigarette pants with zip detail at the bottom, string chokers, drawstring waist belts, checked camping hats and reflector jumpsuits made for innovative looks. There were fragments in the collection that had a very particular theme such as the grey and silver section, the one that included red colour lining, all black and the section with most print. This was a vivacious, up-to-the-minute show that had harmonious aesthetics and contained loads of newness.
