Working in London but having previously studied Comic Design at The Academy of Art in Urbino, Nicola Gaudenzi’s illustrations take vintage comic book design as a starting point which he then applies to current popular culture figures. As expected, given his niche interest in comic prints, his primarily works in ink, a medium which he uses both linearly and liberally. From Breaking Bad’s Heisenberg to Daffy Duck wielding a decapitated Bugs Bunny head, Nicola’s illustrations always carry undercurrents of the macabre.

Nicola Gaudenzi has created original artwork for DASH Magazine’s Autumn / Winter 2014 issue scheduled for release in September.
