For Dawid Tomaszewski, accessories are the key to personal style, and his designs have been said to combine the purist aesthetic with the extravagance of vanguard.
Awarded the ‘Premium Young Designer’ award in Berlin 2009, Tomaszewski made his name in fashion with his couture SS12 collection ‘Torqued Ellipses’, which attracted a great deal of attention towards his label.
Working with a dark and sensuous monochromatic palette of black, with a few peeks of nude and flesh through sheer panels and open lace, a passion for art and architecture is evident in Tomazewski’s structured designs. Embracing the ornamentation of the economic boom, Tomaszewski uses metallic belts, gloves adorned with shards of glass and enormous feather collars to expand our idea of the wearable fashion aesthetic with his beautiful red-carpet-ready creations.
