An innovative blend of two designers was exampled at the Lewis & Leigh AW 13 presentation of Claudia Ligari and Eleanor Amoroso. Held in the Beach Blanket Babylon in Shoreditch, the PR duo managed to create an atmosphere that was fitting to their designers.

The Claudia Ligari collection, which was made up of five looks – four on models and one delicately hung up – was seen on a neutral palette of soft blacks, iridescent whites and first-time colour for the designer, mustard camel. Layered for maximum effect, the masterfully simple yet dynamic collection hung from the models with undertones of masculinity to this womenswear collection. “Claudia has taken a feminine twist on her directional sports luxe style,” said her PR representatives Jordan Lewis and Koral Leigh. Expanding out into jewellery design, a selection of rings in gold, silver and rose gold, formed in the Ligari logo, filled a transparent box suspended from the ceiling.

Complementing Ligari’s collection perfectly were Eleanor Amoroso’s statement neckpieces, dramatically hanging on wooden coat hangers following the suspended system. With the use of her signature technique of macramé on a monochrome palette – characteristic of her brand – Amoroso created handmade fringed pieces with a resemblance to geometric shapes. This is the ultimate ‘over-wear’ collection designed to enhance simple and minimal outfits.
