This season, we were taken into an exploration of the skies with KENZO’s ‘Jungle of the Sky’ collection for Autumn / Winter 2013, influenced by ancient mythologies of the mystical world above.

‘Pilot’ coats are double-breasted, while trousers are skinny and have an effect of parachute fabrics in nylon. A celestial theme pervades the prints with the collection’s central cloud print, as well as raindrops and stars. The silhouette of an Asian warrior is introduced, while the KENZO tiger is reincarnated as a double-headed flying creature and is joined by dragons and serpents, which populate the sky jungle. Accessories remained strong, all followed by a very elegant structure.

Curious thing, Jamie XX leant his great remix skills to the catwalk presentation, creating an original mix especially for this occasion, perfectly in line with AW13’s ‘Jungle In The Sky’ theme with its soft beats.
