Collaborating with fashion designers since Coco Chanel’s costume jewellery in the early 1930s, the Swarovski crystal brand have been influential in supporting numerous fashion labels – assisting them financially and donating stones to be used throughout their collections. Since 1999, when Nadja Swarovski collaborated with Alexander McQueen and Isabella Blow, The Swarovski Collective has been working with various fashion designers twice a year during international fashion weeks.

The 15 designers selected for Autumn / Winter 2014 were Prabal Gurung, Rodarte, Suno, Wes Gordon, and Brandon Sun from New York Fashion Week, Emilia Wickstead, Fyodor Golan, Michael van der Ham, Mary Katrantzou and Huishan Zhang from London Fashion Week and Anthony Vaccarello, Maxime Simoens, Alexis Mabille, Tex Saverio and Masha Ma from Paris Fashion Week.

Swarovski have recently also announced the 15 designers to form the new year-long collective, which see past designers such as Mary Katrantzou and Rodarte return, joining newcomers such as Iris Van Herpen, Damir Doma and Peter Pilotto.
