The Central Saint Martins duo Palmer//Harding, comprising of Levi Palmer and Matthew Harding, are known for their love of monochromatics and sophisticated shapes and silhouettes. And their Autumn / Winter 2015 collection surely did not disappoint. Black and white, crisp two-piece outfits showed fine detailing and craftsmanship. Fresh collared white shirts were paired with pleated skirts and matching jackets. The collection had a contemporary and elegant feel to it. In addition to black and white, black, white, grey, brown, navy and magenta completed the colour palette. The oversized structured coats in navy had incredible embroidered details. Dresses adorned with silken sashes, which pinched and ruffled in a complementary way, seemed to ooze that classic modernist vibe that Palmer//Harding have become trusted purveyors of.

All models had braids in their hair and walked slowly around – what appeared to be – a cornfield; or was it wheat? Either way, there was an Amish feel to the presentation that took place at London’s ICA and, all in all, the duo gave us what we expected, and have come to love from them: beautiful clothing.
