Polish costume maker and avant-garde fashion designer Katarzyna Konieczka is inspired by the subconscious and emotional play of conflicts, constantly experimenting with different materials in order to create designs that are initially not always understood. Her main design motifs are asymmetry, destruction, dramatism and the macabre. Her models are always restricted and trapped in outfits of harsh wire contraptions, rich textures and grand designs. Each piece is entirely unique and made with techniques that Katarzyna has developed over time through experimentation and practice.
