Michael Cheng AW16, Subtract
Theory, Thakoon, and Elle China are some of the places designer Michael Cheng gained experienced with. Cheng, who graduated from Parson’s New School for Design, just unveiled his first collection entitled Subtract. The clothes are perfectly in touch with the times; classic but utterly wearable, as the aesthetic stands in the intersection between streetwear and womenswear. The places that stimulated Cheng’s design are the ones he lived in, like Shanghai and New York, and one can definitely see traces of architectural influences between the seams.
