Bas Kosters ‘Anti Fashion Is The Shit’
Twice a year during Amsterdam Fashion Week, my bestie wanna-be-a-star and I host the bi-annual ‘Anti Fashion Party’. This might sound odd as I’m a fashion designer myself. Well, it’s not. For us anti-fashion is all about originality, creation and individuality.
As fashion has become so fashionable, media sketches a very empty-headed image of the fashion industry. Of course it’s nice that Rihanna sits front row at a fashion show, and famous people get sent boxes of free clothing every day. Also, the lives of stylists, bloggers and models seem extremely glamorous.
But we mustn’t forget that without creation there’d be no fashion industry. Creations by talented and opinionated designers. That is why we celebrate true creativity and outspokenness with our Anti Fashion Party, a stage for true individuals. Will you join us?
