Inspired by American Boy Scouts and camping, Moncler construed their uniform in three ways; the khaki group, the white group, Forest green and the brown check group. The collection was tailored by Thom Brown and has clean, crisp creations. The abysmal box pleated pockets are a constant to give a utilitarian quality. The show was opened by the models assembled in lines in tent-like, hooded jackets and painted shovels as accessories. Models in grizzly bear masks with scout hats started circling the campfires and miniature tents and unzip other models, whose dress offered different interpretations of the American Boy Scout uniform. We saw innovative looks such as long socks with utility pockets, tiny scarves, slitted-arm blazer capes, waistcoats embellished with pleated, buttoned pockets, checked fur, leather and boots as well as pockets attached in unusual places such as the back. The collection not only executed the Boy Scout theme, but also dabbled with textures as well as a distinct preppy feel.
