Qasimi studied three different courses at Central Saint Martins, all within the arts; French literature, architecture and fashion studies. It was in 2009 that he had his breakthrough in Paris where they asked him to show as part of the menswear calendar. Originally doing both mens and womenswear, it was at that point that he put womens aside to fully focus on ‘men that seek an attitude in conventional clothing’.

In his Autumn / Winter 2013 collection Qasimi featured smart, structured clothing, intertwined with leather and silks, giving workwear an urban feel by using a colour palette of mostly black, with a hint of teal and white. The dark inspiration behind this came from the psychotic nature of man, which showed in his disciplined tailoring and exaggerated collars.
