Navina Pernsteiner has lived in Barcelona, Amsterdam and Munich, which might explain why her production is strongly rooted in Internet culture rather than a national one. In her portfolio, animated gifs and videos abound. Now based in Augsburg, Germany, Navina studies Graphic Design. The digital world is clearly important to her illustrations, but she also likes to work with traditional techniques, such as collage. “I have a passion for working with old magazines”, she says. “I love putting together interesting stuff to create a completely new image.” Surely there is much more to come as she completes her thesis on the topic of ‘lucid dreaming’.
