Matthias Winkler graduated from the Royal College of Art last summer. Since then he’s worked in Iceland for designer Sruli Recht, as well as been shortlisted as one of the best designers at the International Fashion Showcase 2014 by the British Fashion Council. His inspirations are people drawn to wildlife and nature who live an urban life. We see this in the soft leathers combined with a wooden sole.
In his own words: “For me the ugly or grotesque adds another level of beauty. I think its complexity has a longer lasting affect than just pure loveliness.”
