‘Whitewash’, a metaphor for glossing over and covering up, is a fresh start for CMMN SWDN for Spring / Summer 2015. Designers Saif Bakir and Emma Hedlund are treating this as a blank canvas, and have decided to re-visit the late 1990s for serene and minimalistic inspiration by scaling back details and trimmings to focus on the collection’s solid fabrication and subtle textures.

The show was fresh and chic with an edgy vibe. Models walked the catwalk in fresh metallics, white towel basketball shorts and embellished tees. Leather played a key part in this collection, as biker jackets in smoky grey were worn over an all-white ensemble to add a touch of edginess.
