London-based illustrator Sophie Stephens‘s work has a great sense of humour, displayed across her sexy, daring fashion cartoons and large-scale murals. That’s what’s in the past made her a perfect match with the House of Holland, which Sophie collaborated with in 2009 on a line of T-shirts featuring fashion icons from Daphne Guinness to Karl Lagerfeld in the nude (displayed above). Named one of London’s ‘Bright Young Things’ in 2011, each of the winning designers created an entire frame within Selfridges’ windows with temporary online shops set up to sell an edit of their strongest pieces.
Next to guest lecturing at the University for the Creative Arts, Sophie and her work have also appeared in renowned publications, such as Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Nylon, Dazed Digital and Time Out, while her hand-illustrated walls grace retail outlets, bars and work spaces across London.
