Carmen Carmona is a Mexican fashion and children’s illustrator whose work has previously been published in magazines like Nylon and Be Black. The illustrator enjoys going down the streets sticking her work on walls and states that it often motivates her and influences her work. Usually inspired by female figures, personal items and melancholy, Carmona’s blog ‘articuloscarmen’ is a part of artists’ directory on tumblr and the artist is majorly involved with her independent projects. Carmona studied design, visual communication, painting, sculpture and illustration at the Faculty of Arts and Design at UNAM.
Carmen has contributed original artwork to DASH Spring / Summer 2015, set to launch in February 2015.
