W by WenJun Autumn / Winter 2014
For her second collection, WenJun was inspired by cult 1970s video game Space Invaders. Colourful appliqués of the recognisable pixelated aliens crop up on neutral dresses, crew-neck jumpers and bags. The Land of the Rising Sun furthermore influenced the designer when it came to pattern-making. Skirts are folded to resemble intricate flowers and the lining of some pieces contrasts with the colour of the garment, evoking the two-tone origami paper.
