Favouring the mediums of watercolour and fine liner ink pens, Meredith Owencreates illustrations inspired by the small, the bizarre and the intriguing. Her compositions are coupled with concepts and ideals that play a vital role in viewing art. One such concept, achieved by her unusual subject matter and adopted heavily, is ‘the suspension of disbelief‘ theory – one that attracts the viewer to an image because it’s not as it appears on first glance.
Meredith’s original artwork can be seen in our Spring / Summer 2014 issue of DASH as well as in two ongoing exhibitions at ‘Food for Thought’ in Covent Garden and the ‘Vagabond Coffee Shop‘ in Finsbury Park, London.
