Vivian Ying Spring / Summer 2014
Vivian Ying is a London-based luxury footwear and accessories designer. After graduating with an MA in Fashion Footwear from the London College of Fashion, Ying worked for a range of brands from Alexander McQueen to Kurt Geiger before setting up her own contemporary practice. Her Spring / Summer 2014 collection involved a collaboration with knitwear designer Ekaterina Kukhareva for London Fashion Week, which was presented in a zen garden of tranquility and harmony. Kukhareva’s influences came from the philosophy of the Maiko and traditional Japanese symbols such as the wave and the imperial flower.
