Based in Melbourne, Australia, Erik Yvon specialises in men’s and womenswear. He often draws inspiration for his seasonal pieces from his origins in Mauritius. As a designer, he gained experience from working with labels such as Romance was Born and Neo Dia in 2012. A graduate from RMIT, the Australian designer has won several national design competitions such as the Wool Awards and the Australian Fashion Awards. The latest collection ‘Static Electric’ is influenced by optical illusions presenting the use of prints and graphics. With a take on sportswear, the collection defines the swimwear silhouette in explosive colours, combining dynamic prints inspired from diverse cultures.
