From being born in Japan, Tomohiro Muramatsu‘s work shows obvious eastern influences from the angular, exaggerated shapes used to craft his illustrations to the traditional use of ink lines.

A limited use of colour means the focus is all upon line and texture, with the delicate designs contrasting to the sharp angles of the features. Clear use of white space also helps highlight the flowing nature of his lines.

Tomohiro’s illustrations showcase expression and attitude, opting not for the same but to have each one a separate and entrancing feel, which helps create an identity and story for each drawing.

Tomohiro will also be proving original artwork for DASH Magazine’s AW13 Issue, scheduled for release on 11th September 2013.
