Boris Bidjan Saberi delivered a somber parade for his Autumn / Winter 2013 collection that was all about the rugged traveller, backpacks and all. Thick layers and heavy fabrics in a palette rarely diverting from black and dark grey made up this road worn ensemble of outerwear pieces. The German designer executed utilitarian cuts invigorated by asymmetry, exaggerated lapels and unexpected arrangements. Looks in varied pairings of wool and washed leather were sometimes topped with rolled beanies or belted with extra-long straps. Black tape bands gave geometric verve to grey anoraks. Bottoms included fitted trousers of the biker variety and oversized slacks in sweatpant silhouettes.
