Anita Steinwidder has been designing fashion since 2002 and in 2009 founded her eponymous label. The designer’s approach to fashion is simple: ‘used clothes – cut up or ripped – are used as the basis for the further working process, put together in a new composition, and in this way also put into a new conceptual context’. To create her collection titled ‘640 hours – for some seconds of moments’, Anita chose her starting material amongst second-hand or discarded items of clothing, which she then sorted through, arranging and reworking them to achieve traces of wear and tear, which have become a symbol for her concept of time.
