Singapore-born, London based designer Eugene Lin launched his eponymous label in 2009. Best know for his strong focus on artistic cuts and a sharp eye for detail, the designer presented his latest collection in the same aesthetic atLondon Fashion Week AW13.

His Autumn / Winter 2013 collection titled ‘Cupid de Locke’ continues to explore inspirations taken from the stories about the beginning of the Trojan War involving Cupid shooting Helen of Troy with his arrow, which makes her fall in love with the first man she sees: Paris. The collection is believed to be the modern interpretation of this story, emphasising the fragile line between unconscious violence and purity of love.

One of the most identifiable piece of the collection is the black trench with gold embellishments. In fact, the whole collection uses the trench as a basis for multiple, different kinds of garments including skirts, dresses and capes.
