Sadie Williams Autumn / Winter 2015

Even if you think you’re not familiar with the name Sadie Williams, you’ve definitely seen her work, as the designer hasn’t been sitting still since graduating in 2013 from Central Saint Martins with an MA in fashion. Williams, who focused on textiles For fashion, received a distinction and worked for the likes of J.W.Anderson, Marc by Marc Jacobs and Katie Hillier. As a result of her unique approach to textile and print, Selfridges chose her as one of their ‘Bright Young Things’ in 2013 where she sold pieces from her totemic MA collection. As if that is not enough, in 2014, Williams collaborated with the Swedish high-street label & Other Stories on an exclusive “fast & folky” multi-textile collection that pretty much sold out. At such a young age, she has not only put her stamp on the industry with a solid signature aesthetic, but has also developed an innovative shimmery textile that is now recognisable as hers. She has recently gained the support of NEWGEN to continue working on her own label and showcased her Autumn / Winter 2015 collection at Somerset House during London Fashion Week.
